Sankalp Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of Sankalp, an iOS app published by Hellovibe Edtech Pvt Ltd. By using the app you agree to them. If you don't, please don't use the app.

Sankalp is free, and we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use it on devices you own or control. Please don't copy, resell, reverse-engineer, or redistribute the app or its contents, and don't use it to harass anyone or break the law.

The app is distributed through the App Store, so Apple's standard licensed application end user licence agreement also applies. Where these terms and Apple's conflict, Apple's govern your licence to the app itself.

Sankalp itself belongs to Hellovibe Edtech Pvt Ltd. That includes the app and its code, the name "Sankalp" and our logo, the deity portraits and illustrations, the videos, the written guidance, the panchang engine, and the design of the app — all rights in them are reserved to us or to the people who licensed them to us. Your licence to use the app doesn't transfer any of that to you.

The scriptures, mantras, and traditions Sankalp carries are not ours and never could be — they belong to everyone. What we claim is only our own expression of them: our particular artwork, words, and code.

What you create stays yours — see "Your content and your account" below. If you send us feedback or an idea, we may act on it without owing you anything for it.

Sankalp offers devotional practice, panchang timings, and festival information as a helpful companion. It is not a religious authority, and nothing in it replaces your family tradition, your community, or your priest. Traditional associations we show — such as a deity often honoured on a particular day — are suggestions only; you always choose your own deities, your own days, and whether to fast at all.

The panchang engine computes tithi, nakshatra, yoga, karana, masa, and muhurta astronomically, and we verify it against ephemeris data. Even so, panchang varies legitimately by tradition, region, and calculation method. Treat the timings as a reference, not a ruling, and defer to your own tradition where they differ.

Fasting in Sankalp is entirely optional and never required to use the app. Sankalp is not a medical or nutritional service and gives no health advice. Fasting can be unsafe for some people, and only you and your doctor can judge what is right for your body. Please consult a qualified professional before fasting, especially if you are pregnant, are managing a condition such as diabetes, or take medication.

Darshan Lock uses Apple's Screen Time (Family Controls) to rest the apps you choose behind a moment of prayer. You pick the apps, and you can change or remove the lock whenever you like. It is a gentle pause you set for yourself — not a security control, a parental-control product, or a guarantee that an app cannot be opened. Please don't rely on it as a safety mechanism.

Your journal entries, japa counts, fasting records, deities, and settings are yours. They live on your device, and we claim no ownership of them. Signing in is optional; if you do, your content syncs to your own private account so it can reach your other devices, and you can delete that account and everything in it at any time from Account → Delete account in the app.

Because those records reveal your religious practice, we treat them with particular care. Our Privacy Policy explains exactly what we hold once you sign in, who processes it, and how to get it back or get rid of it — please read it alongside these terms.

Because Sankalp is local-first, your device is the primary home for your practice. Please keep your device backed up — if you lose it and have never signed in, we have no copy of your data to restore.

We may add, change, or remove features, and we may update these terms. When a change is material, we'll update the date on this page and, where it matters, tell you in the app. Continuing to use Sankalp after a change means you accept the updated terms. The app is provided as-is; we can't promise it will always be available or free of errors, and features that depend on Apple's frameworks or on cloud sync may be interrupted.

To the fullest extent the law allows, Hellovibe Edtech Pvt Ltd is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of Sankalp, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you have paid us for the app — which, for the free app, is nothing. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Hyderabad, Telangana have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
